A number of factors causes our hands to age, not least due to almost constant exposure to the sun when outside. We often forget protective sunscreens on our hands until the signs of ageing start to appear. The skin on the back of the hands is extremely thin and therefore will show the loss of fat pads much sooner than other areas of our body where the skin is thicker. When the fat pad diminishes all of the structures in the hand show up, the tendons, bones and the veins.

There may be some redness and swelling after treatment and in some cases there may be bruising, however this should be easily covered with make up. Lip augmentation often has slightly more swelling associated with the treatment but this is most often only noticeable to you.
