Consultant Aesthetic Nurse

Natural aesthetic medicine with experience you can trust

Clinic 1 is a long-established medical aesthetics clinic located in Ardleigh on a quiet country lane just outside Colchester, Essex.

Led by Consultant Aesthetic Nurse and Independent Nurse Prescriber Julia, the clinic has provided medically led aesthetic treatments for over 19 years, focusing on subtle, natural results that support healthy skin and balanced facial ageing.

Julia is also a clinical trainer in aesthetic medicine, working with several Harley Street training academies as well as her own training programmes. She has a particular interest in the prevention and management of aesthetic complications and regularly trains practitioners in recognising and safely responding to treatment complications.

In addition to her work in aesthetics, Julia is a registered Midwife and Specialist Community Public Health Nurse and remains active on the Nursing and Midwifery Council register to ensure her wider clinical skills remain current.

Alongside the Essex clinic, Julia has also operated a second aesthetic clinic in the Algarve for the past four years.

Many patients visit Clinic 1 seeking experienced advice about facial changes that occur with time, including skin laxity, loss of facial support, changes related to menopause, or facial ageing following significant weight loss. Treatment plans are always approached conservatively and may combine carefully placed injectable treatments with regenerative skin treatments to restore skin quality and natural facial structure.

The clinic also welcomes patients who are concerned about previous aesthetic treatments performed elsewhere. Julia regularly works with patients to safely dissolve unsuitable dermal fillers and develop a careful restorative plan to return the face to a more natural and balanced appearance.

Only premium, clinically proven products are used within the clinic, selected for their safety profile, reliability and ability to deliver natural-looking results.

Located in a calm and private rural setting just outside Colchester, Clinic 1 offers a relaxed environment where patients can take time to discuss their concerns without feeling rushed. Private on-site parking is available and patients have access to a comfortable waiting area with separate bathroom facilities.

Appointments are available Monday to Saturday with evening availability, and Sunday appointments may be arranged when required.

About Julia

Passionate About Aesthetics

Why Experience Matters in Aesthetic Medicine

Aesthetic treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers are medical procedures that require a detailed understanding of facial anatomy, product behaviour and patient safety.

Over recent years the aesthetics industry has grown rapidly, with many new providers offering treatments. While many practitioners work responsibly, the increase in poorly performed treatments and the use of low-quality or unregulated products has unfortunately led to a growing number of complications and unsatisfactory results.

At Clinic 1, patient safety and clinical judgement are always the priority.

Julia has over 19 years of experience in medical aesthetics and continues to practise as a registered healthcare professional. As a clinical trainer working with several Harley Street aesthetic academies, she is also involved in teaching practitioners how to prevent, recognise and safely manage complications.

This experience means that treatments are always approached conservatively and carefully planned to respect the natural structure of the face.

Many patients visit the clinic seeking reassurance or advice after treatments carried out elsewhere. In these situations Julia works with patients to safely dissolve unsuitable filler treatments where necessary and develop a restorative treatment plan to return the face to a more natural and balanced appearance.

Many patients find it helpful to book a consultation simply to discuss how their skin may be changing during menopause or significant weight loss, and what treatments, if any, may be appropriate. These consultations are designed to provide honest guidance rather than pressure to proceed with treatment.

Only premium, clinically proven products are used within the clinic, selected for their safety profile and long-term reliability.

The aim is never to change how someone looks, but to support healthy skin, restore balance and help patients feel comfortable and confident in their appearance. “Good aesthetic medicine should never be obvious. The aim is to restore balance, support healthy skin and allow people to look like the best version of themselves — never someone different.”
